Veterinary Technicians

Jenny

RVT

Picture
Jenny first started working at Castledowns Animal Hospital in 2011 as a registered Veterinary Medical Assistant. Her love of dealing with animals is what motivated her to go back to NAIT in 2012 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jenny loves to spend time with her cats. Although she loves all animals, her favorites are the smooshy-faced breeds. Her most recent addition, Potato, is a Boston Terrier and fits this description to a T! Outside of work she is active in multiple volleyball leagues, enjoys being outdoors and plays piano.

Sheena
RVT

Picture
Sheena graduated from SIAST in Saskatoon in 2009 as a Veterinary Technologist. She is our resident cat lady with 7 cats and 1 dog. Her interests at work include anesthesia, pharmacology and nutrition. Outside of work, Sheena's free time is spent chasing after two very active boys. She also enjoys camping and fishing  with her family, playing video games and reading.

Brier
RVT

After taking a few years to explore a variety of career options, Brier landed back on animal care and graduated from the Olds college AHT program to become a RVT in 2018. Brier grew up surrounded by many different animals, from furry to scaled, and loves them all. On her days off you can find Brier in the mountains or doing art.

Jamie
RVT

Jamie joined our CAH family in the Fall 2023. She graduated from NAIT with honors in 2004 and has been practicing ever since. Jamie has years of experience in general practice, internal medicine & surgery specialty, and emergency medicine. She is also certified in Fear Free Training and Low Stress Handling to make your pets less stressed during veterinary visits. She loves all aspects of her job, but has special interests in pain management, behavior, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, neonatal & senior care, and working with exotic critters. At times, you may even find her bottle feeding baby kittens too!
In her spare time, Jamie likes to hang out with her two dogs Sadie & Sammi and all her cats, make perogies, garden, and read (mostly about veterinary medicine).

Sophia

Sophia is one of our newest Registered Veterinary Technologists. However, she isn’t new to the clinic as she started off as a volunteer with CAH in the summer of 2021 and then became a Tech Assistant a year later. Sophia graduated from NAIT’s Animal Health Technology Program with Honours in 2024.
